Food intolerance is an adverse food reaction due to a lack of food specific digestive enzymes. An enzymes deficiency occur when the body is unable to produce a sufficient amount of enzymes to properly break down foods eaten. Unlike a life-threatening food allergy, intolerance does not involve the production of antibodies, nor is it mediated by histamine.
Adverse food reactions are widespread. For example, lactose intolerance affects 30-50 million Americans, and as much as 15% of the world’s population suffers when consuming gluten. Other common intolerable foods include dairy protein (casein), lactose, whey and fibrous beans, vegetables, and assorted grains.
Intolerance Complex contains high-potency enzymes specifically designed to support the digestion compounds known to cause intestinal disturbance.
Food intolerance typically manifests in the digestive tract as occasional diarrhea, cramping, bloating, gas or upset stomach. In contrast to food allergies, the symptoms of food intolerance are often delayed and may not occur until several hours or even a day after intolerable food is ingested.
Identifying the particular food or food groups that cause sensitivity is important for addressing intolerance. Elimination diets are a common practice but not always possible or practical. Restaurant meals frequently contain ingredients containing gluten, lactose, and other common triggers. Reducing or eliminating trigger foods can be helpful, but dietary modification in combination with enzyme supplementation provides peace of mind and complete digestive support.
As an alternative to elimination, enzyme supplementation may assist and enhance the digestion of foods, therefore allowing greater availability of nutrients for the body. Enzymes are capable of breaking down dietary constituents small enough to minimize encounters of intolerance and maximize absorbability.
A full spectrum digestive enzyme formula, such as Intolerance Complex, provides support for both common and uncommon food intolerances. As lactose and gluten intolerance are the most widespread concern, Intolerance Complex contains lactase for digesting the dairy sugar lactose, and DPP-IV activity for digesting gluten proteins found in wheat and other grains. Alpha Galactosidase is included for digesting gas-forming complex starches commonly found in beans, grains and fibrous vegetables. Support for protein, fat and carbohydrate digestion rounds out the formula in order to expand the body’s capacity to liberate nutrients from foods eaten. By doing so, the fuel available for metabolism and cellular health is increased.
Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP), produce in every cell, is founded in all raw foods and is the body’s natural source of energy. Supplementing with ATP complements a healthy diet by increasing the energy potential of the foods consumed. It is also a primary signaling molecule for healthy digestive processes. One such process is the necessary production of Hydrochloric Acid (HCI) in the stomach, which supports protein digestion. ATP in the intestinal contents also binds to receptors that stimulate proper peristalsis and mucosal integration.

PEA is paired with Meriva, the most clinically studied bioavailable curcumin, to provide natural support for the entire body with a focus on the body’s nervous, immune, and muscular systems.*
Data collected from the 2012 National Health Interview Survey estimated nearly 56% of American adults (126 million individuals) experienced some level of pain or discomfort within 3 months prior to taking the survey.(1)
Discomfort can range from a variety of indications, including effects on mood, mobility, and overall health and wellness. Most often, occasional pain, stiffness, and compromised tissue are the result of overexertion and everyday stress.
When excited nerves issue sensory information to the brain, the body can react in the form of uncomfortable sensations. Many individuals experiencing common ailments often choose to self-medicate.(2) These consumers turn to easily accessible
Over-the-counter medications such as NSAIDs instead of coping with the short term discomfort. A study, led by the Director of the Slone Epidemiology Center at Boston University, evaluating consumer compliance with recommended NSAID usage, found nearly 20% of individuals exceeded daily maximum doses during a one-week period.(3) When misused or overused, these OTCs can have serious side effects.
For those experiencing only occasional discomforts, a natural approach may be a better option to support physiological stress.* Dietary supplements work with the body’s natural processes for physiological stress and soreness without the side effects associated with the overuse of pain medications.*
Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) is an extensively researched natural ingredient for important neuroprotective actions.*(4) This ingredient has been utilized for decades and is available in dietary supplements worldwide as an option for the onset of physiological stress.*
PEA is an endogenous fatty acid amide that belongs to the family of biologically active lipids that are increased by the body to soothe discomfort naturally.*(5) PEA was identified over 60 years ago when it was isolated from extracts of brain, liver, and muscle of rat and guinea pig. It was later found to be contained in chicken egg yolk, olive oil, safflower and soy lecithin, peanut meal, and several other foods.

Telomere Pro

Increases Telomerase Activity*
Cellular aging is the process by which a cell becomes old and dies, largely due to the shortening of its telomeres. Telomeres are the protective tips at the ends of chromosomes that protect our DNA. When the cell divides, the tips shorten. Over time, they become too short to sustain cell division and the cell dies. Other influences include age, stress, poor lifestyle choices and exposure to environmental toxins. To support healthy aging, it is essential to maintain telomere length.
Telomerase is a naturally occurring enzyme that lengthens telomeres and protects them from shortening. Telomere Pro has been shown to increase telomerase activity.*
Recommended Use: 1 capsule daily with or without food
Consult with a physician prior to use if you are pregnant or nursing.
Cellular aging is the process by which a cell becomes old and dies. To understand cellular aging, we must first understand the anatomy of a cell.
Our bodies are made up entirely of different types of cells, each with a different function. Every type of cell contains a center called a nucleus, which contains genetic information called DNA. DNA contains instructions that allow our cells to divide and correctly produce more cells. DNA is found in structures within the nucleus called chromosomes. At the ends of each chromosome, there are protective tips called telomeres, which keep the ends of the chromosome from degradation.
Telomere length has a lot to do with aging and is what some scientists have used to assess biological age.1 Young cells have long telomeres and older cells have short telomeres. This is because every time a cell divides, the telomeres get shorter and shorter. Eventually, they become too short to sustain cell division, and the cell dies. This is cellular aging. Other factors besides aging that may lead to accelerated telomere shortening include stress,2 lifestyle choices and environmental toxins.
Maintaining telomere length is essential to overall health, and can be accomplished by supplementing with a telomerase activator.* Telomerase is a naturally occurring enzyme that influences a cell’s ability to lengthen telomeres and prevent them from shortening. Most cells do not have sufficient levels of this enzyme to maintain telomere length.
The synergistic ingredients in Telomere Pro have been shown to activate telomerase and may support increased energy.*
The botanicals in Telomere Pro have been specially formulated to positively influence telomerase. Astragalus root3 has been shown to boost energy and provides immune support, while research shows that broccoli seed extract4 enhances the body’s tolerance to stress.* Rhodiola extract5 is often used for cellular protection and to boost enzyme activity.*
Vitamin D3 is known to boost the immune system6 and has been shown to have a positive correlation with telomere length.*
Recommended Use: One capsule daily with or without food. More may be taken if needed. Consult a physician prior to use if you are pregnant or nursing.
